How to wire the PCV map switch so it is illuminated?

Postby Resinears » Sun Sep 20, 2020 3:13 am

For you electrical guys:
When using a Power commander V, you can wire in a simple two wire toggle switch to the input on the PCV that when closed, either selects a second map, or enables autotune (if connected.) So all the switch is doing, is "joining" the two wires, or closing the contact.
I know I saw a thread somewhere (but haven't been able to find it over the last few days), where someone had set up an illuminated switch. Can anyone provide an explanation or schematic on how to accomplish this? Do I need a relay? Is this possible, or was it my imagination?

Many thanks!

Oh well, I guess I'll just keep it simple. Today I found a simple little rocker switch that has a red face when activated. That will have to do.
